To solve poverty, we suggest next thing
　　Solving poverty by development needs much money we think that all countries should decrease military expenditure and increase budgets for supporting developing countries
 
　　There are two reasons.　First most Countries spend much money for military expenditure. The world mi1i1tary expenditure is more than 1000billion dollar a year and it is increasing now. If they use half of military expenditure for supporting developing Countries, “Millennium Development Goals” will be achieved soon and it will be a big sep for solving poverty this suggestion doesn’t mean only developed nations decrease military expenditure and increase budgets of Official Development Assistance (ODA). We think those developing countries should use military expenditure for their own development too.
 
　　Second decreasing military expenditure wills 1ead decreasing disputes and war. Many developing Countries have problems about disputes and war. They kill many people and produce many displaced persons Not only those. Disputes and war prevent or ruin development. So we think that it is necessary to decrease disputes.
 
It is said that to decrease military expenditure is difficult. But we believe that it is
Possible 1f many countries negotiate closely and do so at the same time.

We think people must change their view to adjust the problem of poverty.
 
There are many people who think O D A (Official Development Assistance) must be decreased in Japan. However, most of Japanese people take seriously about global warming. They say that media has got around the problem of global warming.
 
Can’t we get around the problem of poverty like that?
Thinking it as a problem that we must adjust is important for people.
Because, the governmental agenda will be changed if everyone thinks so. The world will change, too.
And, we think it is important to teach children international issues at school. It will take a long time, but it will raise awareness of people about the problem.
 
The biggest problem about poverty is starvation. We think people should use more money for starving children, for example, using O D A for health care center. It will come true if we care for the problem. Japanese people should think what O D A is using for. Development in developing countries needs support of advanced countries.
 
So, we mustn’t think about poverty in developing countries as a problem that has nothing to do with our living.
